Ways you can Donate

Our goal this year is to pack 1,700 backpacks!‍ ‍

The cost of the backpacks, and supplies still needed after all school supply donations come in, is $30,000!

  • Most of our donated monetary funds go towards purchasing popular colors and styles of backpacks for ages Pre-K to 12th grade.

  • Most of the school supplies in the packed backpacks are community donated supplies. However, any left over funds after all of the backpacks are purchased go towards purchasing supplies that were not donated by the community.

  • Monetary Donation

    All monetary donations, except for the transaction fees withdrawn by financial institutions, goes towards the purchasing of supplies for Story County Students.

    -You can make an online donation with United Way of Story County by clicking on the button below. Please make sure to select “Other” in the “Association with a special project” drop down menu. Then type “Blast Back to School” in the “If other, please specify.” dialogue box.

  • Supply Donations

    Story County students need about $100 worth of school supplies every year, not including required technologies. If you would like to help out our Story County Students by donating school supplies, you can view the school supply Sign-up Genius and sign up to donate supplies to our event by clicking on the button below.
